Palm Peterbilt-GMC Trucks Say
“THANK YOU”
Palm Peterbilt-GMC Trucks, Inc. has once again held their annual Palm Classic Charity Golf Tournament on Friday May 4, 2007 at the
Carolina Club in Coral Springs. Palm puts on this event every year to say thank you to their customers for all the support they’ve provided the previous year. This year’s event included over 120
golfers, and 40 volunteers. Special thanks to the Tournament committee for a job well done.
All the charity money raised for this event is made possible by the vendors
associated with Palm Peterbilt-GMC Trucks, Inc. and the generosity of Palm’s customers. This years prizes included a 2007 GMC truck and a 2007 20’center console boat for a holes-in-one.
Unfortunately, no one got a hole-in-one and despite a valiant try by Tim Capito of Jack Hardy Inc., the grand prize of $5,000.00 for the putting contest is still available for next year.
Be assured though, no one left empty handed. If they didn’t win a prize, they still won a great day of fun.
Darrell Gwynn has been affiliated with Palm Peterbilt-GMC Trucks, Inc. for many
years; so all proceeds raised in this event were donated to the Darrell Gwynn Foundation to Cure Paralysis. Last year, Palm presented a check to Darrell Gwynn for $5,000.00 and an additional
$1,400.00 was raised through tickets sales. A long-term customer of Palm, Accurate Septic of the Treasure Coast matched the original offer and donated an additional $5,000.00 for a total of
$11,400.00 in donations. This year, Palm was able to presenting Darrell a check for $6,500.00. With additional ticket sales and other player donations, Palm was able to raise an additional $1,650.00
for a total of $8150.00.
Palm Peterbilt-GMC Trucks and all their employees worked very hard to put on this event and plan to do it every year.
