OneRed Ribbon for A New Dealership 

Ft. Myers, Florida, - Palm Peterbilt-GMC Trucks has cut the ribbon and opened South West Florida’s newest and most complete medium and heavy duty truck dealership. “We decided to open our fourth location (other locations are Ft. Lauderdale – Ft. Pierce – West Palm) in Ft. Myers due to the demand from our customers,” said David Weiger, President and CEO. “We had a parts only store in Ft. Myers for the past 10 years but, due to the overwhelming demand for a state of the art Sales, Service, and Parts operation, we built a new facility to accommodate our customers”.

Palm Peterbilt-GMC Trucks has been in business for over 40 years. They are a family owned and operated dealership. “I have been directly involved with the growth of Palm since its beginning in 1965”. Said Vic Weiger, Chairman “It’s our customers who’ve built our organization and our reputation. We listen to our customers, therefore Ft. Myers was built and opened”.

Rocco Cavallo, formerly parts and service manager of the Ft. Lauderdale location for the past 25 years was promoted to General Manager of the Ft. Myers location.  Rocco states, “I started out managing the Parts department and then moved over to Service. When I was given the opportunity to open a dealership in Ft. Myers, I jumped at the challenge”.  

Since the Ft. Myers location has been opened, they have hired over 20 employees. The dealership is growing so fast that they are looking to fill 8 to 10 more positions immediately. Rocco said, “Palm and all it’s staff are very proud and excited about the opportunity Ft. Myers has given us since we’ve been open. We wanted to say Thank You to Ft.
